AGM 2009

The AGM week will start Monday 19 October and end Thursday 22 October. The main venue will be Radisson SAS Scandinavia Hotel in Oslo.

IFRRO was founded in Oslo in 1984, thus celebrating its 25th anniversary at its birthplace this autumn.

The main events of the AGM week will be as follows:

  • Monday 19 October: IFRRO Board meeting.
  • Tuesday 20 October: Committee and Working Group meetings, Author and Publisher Associations gatherings
  • Wednesday 21 October: European Group and Equipment Levy Forum joint meeting, Regional Seminar / Digital Issues Forum.
  • Thursday 22 October: IFRRO's 38th General Meeting, AGM Special Session on the 25th Anniversary of IFRRO

Monday Kopinor hosted an international seminar titled Human Rights, Authors’ Rights and Publishers’ Rights. The seminar was chaired by Prof. Helge Rønning, who is also chair of the Kopinor Board.

The detailed program for the Regional seminar and Digital Issues Forum on Wednesday is now published. The title of the conference is: Providing Access to Content in a Changing Environment.

For delegates who are staying Friday in Oslo, we have a special offer. Kopinor has reserved tickets to the dance performance When Clarity Visits in the Opera house. This World premiere is a part of the Oslo International Dance Festival.

On Monday, 19 October, Kopinor will host an international seminar in Oslo. The seminar will be held at The House of Literature, Oslo's vibrant and exciting meeting place for culture and debate.

- IFRRO celebrates its 25 years anniversary this year. The event will also mark the AGM 2009 among other things with a special session dedicated to IFRRO, its history and future perspectives of enabling access.

With these words, the President of IFRRO, Magdalena Vinent, and Olav Stokkmo, Chief Executive, invites the IFRRO community to the AGM in Oslo.
