INVITATION TO THE IFRRO ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING 2009

Dear IFRRO Member,
We are pleased to invite you to IFRRO’s Annual General Meeting 2009 at the Radisson SAS Scandinavia in Oslo/Norway on Thursday 22 October 2009.
Conference Focus
IFRRO celebrates its 25 years anniversary this year. The event will also mark the AGM 2009 among other things with a special session dedicated to IFRRO, its history and future perspectives of enabling access, in addition to the business items with a focus on RRO business cases for the digital arena. We therefore count on a large number of AGM delegates this year.
To offer maximum flexibility on deciding upon arrival and departure dates, the timetable for 19 October - 22 October has been scheduled as follows, with no IFRRO event planned for Friday 23 October:

The fee of EUR 375 per delegate and of EUR 95 per accompanying guest registered for the AGM Gala Dinner should be paid by 31 July 2009 free of bank and exchange charges to IFRRO. Please note that the registration fee cannot be refunded for cancellations made after 15 September 2009. Also, we ask you to note that the registration fee does not include lunches, coffee breaks, etc. for accompanying guests.

We ask you to book accommodation directly with the hotel of your choice using the instructions annexed to this invitation. We are pleased to offer you delegate rates at the AGM venue.
Single room: NOK 1,495 (€172 per person per night incl. breakfast)
Double room incl. breakfasts: Same rate as single room.

Documents and Event Information
You will find enclosed the AGM agenda, AGM seminar programme, timetable for the AGM Week and the delegate registration form. The AGM delegate materials (annual reports, documents to be voted on, etc.) will be made available from mid-September on the IFRRO intranet (Members Only), accessible from www.ifrro.org. All documents will also be distributed to the delegates on a USB stick with the conference bag, agenda, timetables, annual report and documents to be voted on also in hard copies.

Monday Kopinor hosted an international seminar titled Human Rights, Authors’ Rights and Publishers’ Rights. The seminar was chaired by Prof. Helge Rønning, who is also chair of the Kopinor Board.
The detailed program for the Regional seminar and Digital Issues Forum on Wednesday is now published. The title of the conference is: Providing Access to Content in a Changing Environment.
For delegates who are staying Friday in Oslo, we have a special offer. Kopinor has reserved tickets to the dance performance When Clarity Visits in the Opera house. This World premiere is a part of the Oslo International Dance Festival.
On Monday, 19 October, Kopinor will host an international seminar in Oslo. The seminar will be held at The House of Literature, Oslo's vibrant and exciting meeting place for culture and debate.
