General information
Currency and credit cards. The currency is Norwegian Kroner (NOK). There are many ATMs (for cash withdrawal) around the city and at the airport. At the AGM venue, the nearest ATM is in the 7-11 store (turn right outside the hotel).

Credit cards are widely accepted; Eurocard, Visa, American Express and Diners Club are the most common.
Weather. When visiting Oslo in October, it is best to prepare for all types of weather.
Electricity. Norway has 220V AC of 50 Hertz. Electric appliances use round, continental style two pin plugs.
Smoking ban. Smoking is prohibited in all indoor public areas, restaurants, pubs and clubs in Norway, but many restaurants and pubs have outdoor seating, even in October.
Time. Official time is Central European Time, with daylight saving time (GMT+2) effective until Sunday 25 October at 03:00.
Shops and opening hours. Most shops in Oslo are open 10 am – 6 pm Monday to Friday, and 10 am – 4 pm on Saturday. Closed Sundays. Shopping centres are open 10 am – 8 pm Monday to Friday, and 10 am – 6 pm on Saturdays.
Visa. Norway is a member of the Schengen agreement. A visa is not required for citizens of countries with which Norway has signed a visa waiver agreement.

Monday Kopinor hosted an international seminar titled Human Rights, Authors’ Rights and Publishers’ Rights. The seminar was chaired by Prof. Helge Rønning, who is also chair of the Kopinor Board.
The detailed program for the Regional seminar and Digital Issues Forum on Wednesday is now published. The title of the conference is: Providing Access to Content in a Changing Environment.

On Monday, 19 October, Kopinor will host an international seminar in Oslo. The seminar will be held at The House of Literature, Oslo's vibrant and exciting meeting place for culture and debate.
